THE WORKSHOP

La Pescallunes de Pepi Sánchez

Led by the artisan Pepi Sánchez, you’ll discover the craft of basketmaking, which dates back hundreds of years in Catalonia.

The La Pescallunes workshop is a space for creating traditional Catalan baskets using plant-based materials. Pepi learned the craft under Rosal Albó and, together, they set up the Catalan Association of Basket Makers to foster miniature basket weaving, which is highly regarded by crib makers, dolls’ houses and collectors in general.
